It seems like one can produce anything with a 3D printer these days, and this letterpress font is no different. Premiering at a graphic design festival in London at the V & A museum, the A23D font has an interesting texture and a distinct look.
According to DesignBoom, "the composition connects the newest and oldest forms of press-work by being fabricated using 3D-print technology and pressed in a traditional print studio." Because of this the design received much attention during the festival in London, and for good reason. With the help of the arts council for funding, three separate studios worked together to produce this letterpress font, and merge older forms with the new.
