Brick Toy Graffiti Parodies

Jeff Friesen Recreates Renowned Banksy Pieces as LEGO Street Art

Jeff Friesen’s newest brick photography series reimagines famous Banksy pieces as LEGO street art. Previously, the award-winning photographer has used the iconic brick toys to make the 50 States of LEGO and the Great LEGO North. Bricksy: LEGO Banksy is not just a recreation of some of graffiti artist’s most well-known work. Friesen adds a humorous twist the the series as well.

An example of this is ‘Bouquet Thrower’ where the man is throwing flowers across rooftops to his girlfriend, who is a police officer. Or in ‘Photo Opportunity,’ a mime balancing act and a cowgirl photographer are added to the shot. This LEGO street art, while funny, also shows the Canadian photographer’s artistic talents.
