LEGO lover Henrik Ludvigsen broke records this month with his construction of the biggest LEGO railway ever made. A hugely popular YouTube video showcases several trains running simultaneously on the inter-weaved tracks.
Made completely from 93,000 2-inch blue LEGO railway tracks, Henrik Ludvigsen created the biggest 2.5 miles long toy railway track in history. The project took 80 people to complete and over a year to plan out.
When asked where the inspiration came from, Henrik Ludvigsen credits his childhood collection of LEGO blocks. He states that "the day before Christmas I was cleaning out a room in [my] house when I found all my old blue tracks," which inspired him to connect them all together and see if he could build one gigantic LEGO railway. Ludvigen’s LEGO railway track was so massive that it actually broke Guinness World Records!
