Claves Leads the Interiors at Le Cornichon Cafe in Paris

French design studio Claves has taken on the interior design project at a Paris cafe dubbed Le Cornichon. The space is defined by its retro-style decor that reflects the architecture of local bars and tobacconists dating back to the 30s and up to the modern day. The team wanted to create a space that brought a sense of nostalgia and French heritage together. It is nestled in a modern neighborhood cafe along a corner.

The design studio shares the creative process with Dezeen, stating "As the owners' aim was to create a place where people from all backgrounds could come and go from morning to night, every day of the week, the decor had to lend itself to all kinds of scenes. The morning coffee while reading the paper, the business lunch, the aperitif with friends, the romantic dinner, the evening out."
