Junya Watanabe COMME des GARÇONS MAN works in collaboration with French heritage imprint Palladium on a new lace-up boot silhouette for the 75th anniversary of the iconic shoe. Palladium came into fruition back in 1920, originally as a producer of airplane tires.
It then transformed into creating tough military boots and this time around, the duo draw inspiration from the Pallabroise boot that was designed back in 1947. It has a lightweight construction and a water-resistant exterior to withstand tough terrains. The upper is made from tough nylon canvas materials that feature mismatching "JW CEDG MAN" in a black militaristic print. On the lateral side of the shoe is a tiger embroidery done in Japanese-style.
