Film Slides Get Enlightened & Repurposed as Shade

This creative Kodachrome lamp shade by New York artist and designer Sabina Batelman uses old 35mm film slides in its construction. The repurposed photographic slides create a visual 'show' while working to dampen the glare from a table lamp.

Sabina Batelman attended the University of Massachusetts where she majored in communications and broadcasting. She also attended the School of Visual Arts in New York to study film and video.

Implications - I think it'd be amazing to witness this Kodachrome lamp in person. Just imagine seeing frames from iconic movies being projected onto your walls, simultaneously illuminating the room and offering a beautiful spectacle for your eyes' enjoyment.

I will probably try to create my own Kodachrome lamp at home and fill it with frames from children's movies.
