Stephen King is no rookie when it comes to experimenting with different means of publishing, and he is especially fond of the Internet. At one point his experiment included publishing a story, "The Plant," strictly online in installments.
The serial story was suspended when King decided it wasn’t going in the direction he intended, with the promise that it may continue. Another experiment by King was "Riding the Bullet," first published strictly in e-book format and since in print and as a movie.
Now Stephen King is teaming up with the Amazon’s Kindle to offer a story exclusively available on Kindle. The story, it seems, centers around a Kindle-like reading device.
The announcement concerning this team-up is expected to come at the same time Amazon unveils its second-generation Kindle.
