Keiichi Tanaami Joins adidas On a Pair of its Superstars

Japanese pop artist Keiichi Tanaami creates surreal artworks with maximalist compositions and now he works together with adidas on a special pair of Superstar sneakers. The shoes were crafted to honor the new retrospective exhibition that is set to open on August 8th dubbed Keiichi Tanaami: Adventures in Memory. This will be opening its doors in Tokyo's National Art Center.

The sneakers are vibrant and highly limited as there are only 205 pairs made across the globe. The familiar silhouette is reimagined with bright embellishments that turn the classic silhouette into a work of art with a face depicted at the front. The two eyes are at the top of the shoe as the colorful nose makes up the laces and a pink mouth decorates the toebox.
