Artist Kehinde Wiley introduces his new collection of bright merchandise designs under the 'Kehinde Wiley Shop.' It is all made in collaboration with the Dakar Biennale in Senegal and features a selection of limited-edition designs including a silk robe with a 'Simeon the God Receiver' design, a Blue Boy candle, a Puffer coat with a portrait design, and a basketball with the Death of St. Joseph painted on it.
Notably, all of the items are exclusively made to be based on one of Wiley's favorite archival artworks. Net proceeds from these pop-up sales will be directed towards the Black Rock Senegal, which is Wiley's own non-profit artist's residency program, helping provide financial help for upcoming artists.
