Rejuvinated Factory Workspaces

The Kavellaris Urban Design Office Fosters Creativity

Melbourne-based studio Kavellaris Urban Design (KUD) is behind some amazing architectural designs, so it's no wonder that its offices are equally as impressive.

Not content with a conventional and commercial office, the practice sought to transform the space into a fresh and creative work area. The architects were inspired by a factory aesthetic, cladding the walls in industrial strength ropes and criss-cross ceilings. Bare lightbulbs hang from frayed fisherman knots to enhance the overall industrial effect.

The space is clean, modern and rejuvenating; it's easy to see how it fosters imagination and creativity, qualities which are incredibly necessary in the studio's profession. I can only imagine that coming to work must be a real pleasure for these lucky architects. Photographer Peter Clarke took some incredible images of the fresh, urban studio space.
