Karl Lagerfeld's Holiday Log

Karl Lagerfeld has taken a micro-break from designing fashion and put his artistic touch on concocting this culinary Christmas treat.

The excentric German teamed up with Parisian baker, Lenôtre, to design the limited edition Holiday Log or bûche de noël.

"The Karl Lagerfeld holiday log comes in a mirrored box and a axe made of caramelized sugar. The actual log is made of gingerbread with almonds and hazelnuts filled with a compote of sweet orange and apricot and a chocolate coulis."

What could be more delicious than a Germanised Parisian dessert for Christmas?

It will be available just in time for the festivities. Pre-orders have already begun, the yule log available from December 22 - 25 for about $170.
