Glasses-Free 3D Technology

KDX Announces K3DX 3D Technology at CES 2016

At CES 2016, KDX is introducing K3DX 3D Technology, which makes it possible for users to enjoy 3D content without having to wear a pair of uncomfortable 3D glasses. What makes this technology so intriguing is that it works across multiple platforms, from TVs to tablets, gaming consoles, film and more.

Considering that one of the main reasons that 3D televisions failed to catch on was that every individual in a household required their own expensive headset for viewing, this technology makes the promise of immersive entertainment seem much more attainable.

KDX describes that some of the hardware and software that powers this technology includes "3rd generation lenticular (eye lens-shaped) lenses with an adjustable range and depth of visibility, tracking eye movements while in use." In order to bring this technology to the masses, KDX is working with Philips, Dolby and more to make 3D content viewable without glasses.
