Julia Christe's hilarious project, titled 'Freestyle Series,' captures various dogs as they sail through the air.
Christe is not selective when it comes to breed. She photographs every type of pooch leaping, bounding and soaring with a joyful elation. The final portraits are a mess of fur, floppy ears and doggie limbs flying in every which direction. Needless to say, it's absolutely hilarious.
The dogs look as though they're doing their best ballerina impression, pirouetting against the gray backdrop with a theatricality normally reserved for the stage. It's a little alarming to realize that a group of dogs could (and do) have more grace and rhythm than I do, but you can't fault these adorable canines for their stellar moves.
