For many of us, myself included, our animals are like our children, and photographer Josh Bryant used that emotional connection to create candid dog-family portraits.
Bryant went into the homes of those who have a dog as a pet. After getting to know the personality of the owner, he wanted to find the similarities between the animal and human. It's said that after living together, animals and owners begin to mimic personalities, and Bryant wanted to capture that on film.
This is a very honest series. The human subjects are being themselves in their own homes, there is nothing pretentious about this spread. Josh Bryant has created a shoot that accurately shows the love between a human and their dog.
