Cape Town, South Africa's Jordan Metcalf is an extremely talented graphic designer and illustrator with an eye for typography and colorful imagery.
For his latest series of illustrations, ESPN contracted Jordan Metcalf to help develop and create key art targeted at the youth demographic for the upcoming ESPN Summer and Winter X-Games 2011. He was commissioned to create sports-based, thematic scenes, logos and patterns suitable for use by suppliers who could then base advertising and marketing off of his work.
A glance through Jordan Metcalf's X-Games contributions and it's easy to see why ESPN chose him. His work has a detail-oriented, stylish zeal to it that will appeal to youth as well as adults with an eye for graphic art. His creations feature a diverse cast of young characters engaged in a series of X-Games including snowboarding, motorcross, and surfing.
I'm nowhere close to being brave enough to attempt any of these activities, so if you're like me, do what I do and live vicariously through the characters in Jordan Metcalf's illustrations.
