Stretchy Elastic Alphabets

The Jenny Kyvik Hutchens Elastic Font is Snappy and Stylish

This fantastic font "stretches" the boundaries of bland alphabets.

Designer Jenny Kyvik Hutchens is the word wizard behind this "snappy" alphabet. Hutchens decided to invent a new typographic font that differed from anything she'd ever seen. She planned a blueprint of her elastic letters prior to construction, planning the shape of each character. She then built a board which boasted tiny pegs; elastics were placed around these pegs to form each letter.

The resulting elastic font is definitely a way to play with words. This font would be a fun one to use on greeting cards or posters, and could even make an interactive learning tool for children who are learning their letters.

Jenny Kyvik Hutchens has cleverly created a "band-tastic" bunch of letters.
