Jacob’s Crackers Selection Now Comes in Boxes with Reduced Plastic

pladis has announced that the Jacob’s Crackers Selection product is receiving a packaging overhaul that will see its plastic contents reduced in a bid to shift towards a more sustainable alternative.

The packaging maintains the recognizable orange color scheme of the original, but features a 78% reduction in plastic in every pack. This will reportedly offer a 373,428-gram reduction in CO2 emissions, which will come as welcome news to shoppers. The packaging is rounded out with high-quality printing for striking product visuals and a tamperproof seal for safety.

Global Director of Sustainability Suzanne Westlake spoke on the updated Jacob’s Crackers Selection packaging saying, "Plastic reduction remains top of mind for shoppers and retailers alike, and it’s essential we continue to challenge ourselves to reduce plastic in all our packaging, so making this important change to one of our best-known and long-loved products is a great step forward. It means UK shoppers can now enjoy their favourite crackers safe in the knowledge that, as well as tasting great, Jacob’s Crackers Selection is also making difference thanks to its new, fully-recyclable packaging."
