I liken these interactive LED banners to the movie ‘Minority Report.’ I feel as though once these screens enter the general public, they're bound to create a snowball effect until suddenly (and preposterously) ‘Precrime’ itself won’t seem so farfetched. For now, however, there are only four of these screens and they will be displayed solely in the Microsoft campus.
Built by Mode Studios, Gizmodo.com reports that "a combination of thermal sensors, camera-tracking, weather conditions—even local traffic—all affect how images are mixed in real-time." An uber cool way to jazz up a work place, Microsoft employees can even manipulate the images displayed on the interactive LED banners by standing in a designated "hot spot."
