Renowned Japanese architect Kengo Kuma collaborated with 3D-focused firm Dassault Systèmes to create a beautiful spiraling sculpture that makes use of an innovative textile to battle air pollution. The piece of art is called 'Breath/ng' and debuted at Milan Design Week 2018.
For the construction of the mesmerizing sculpture, Kengo Kuma appropriated an extremely innovative textile. The material is dubbed "breath technology" and is developed by Anemotech. The fabric boasts a "nano-molecule activated core" that is capable of absorbing harmful air pollutants.
Breath/ng measures 175 square meters and is made in its entirety out of this innovative textile. As a result, it is estimated that the large-scale installation can absorb up to 90,000 cars worth of pollution.
