Netherlands-based aerospace company Acecore has launched an innovative industrial drone that is unique from its competition in that its camera equipment is fitted front and center rather than being consigned to the underbelly of the drone, as is common in the industry.
The 'Zoe Zetona' drone is equipped with a dual-axis gimbal that allows the camera to be mounted in the front. The big advantage with this design is that the drone itself doesn't obstruct the camera's view, while the camera can be tilted up and down whilst still capturing an unhindered view of the scene.
Available to commercial customers, this industrial drone holds a ton of promise in a variety of applications such as surveying and inspection, whether in construction-related fields or security settings.
