'Industree Crafts Foundation' Networks Artists with Retailers Over Indi

Founded in 1994 by Neelam Chhiber and Gita Ram, the Industree Crafts Foundation was created in an attempt to alleviate the intense poverty conditions of the people in India by connecting local craftsmen with retailers all over the country. The social enterprise creates a platform where the artists and other entrepreneurs can connect through mutual appreciation of art.

Collaborating with other non-governmental organizations, Industree Crafts has been able to successfully develop their own brand in 2008 called Mother Earth. Industree Crafts Foundation produces contemporary pieces that are infused with vibrant colors and intricate designs, which are symbolic of India and its culture. Products mainly focus on home decor including cushions, dishware, baskets, table settings, pottery, storage chests and more.
