Dual Dining Compartments

Tjep's Space-Saving Dining and Storage Unit is Perfect for Smaller Houses

Il Treno by Tjep draws its inspiration from the romanticism of travel and the intimacy of dining compartments in old, luxurious trains like the Orient Express. The Dutch design studio has been previously inspired by this concept, as seen in its interior design of the Fabbrica pizzeria in Rotterdam. The team has since evolved the design of the dining booths from fixed wall elements in a restaurant into freestanding units available to purchase for your home.

The booth is handcrafted in ash or oak, paired with metal framing and steps to help diners into their seats. Il Treno is designed with ample overhead storage as well as concealed shelving and drawers behind the seats, offering a compact solution for dining and storage of dishes and utensils.

Il Treno will be shown at Milan's Ventura Lambrate in April 2013.
