Pinterest Now Lets Users Download and Share Their Idea Pins

Pinterest has released a new update that allows for 'Idea Pin' sharing across other social media platforms. An Idea Pin on Pinterest is a multi-page piece of content created by an individual user on Pinterest. These Idea Pins often showcase passions, unique ideas, tutorials, or other interesting content. Idea Pins were launched globally in 2021, and since then the feature has added value to the platform, allowing Pinterest creators to grow and build a following through Idea Pins.

The sharing feature allows Pinterest users to select one of their Idea Pins and download it. The pin will download in the form of a video that showcases each of the pages of the pin in order. This video will also be watermarked with the creator's name throughout the slides, and will end in a more detailed creator page slide. These pins can be shared natively to Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, or TikTok. Aside from this, the pins can be downloaded as a regular video and shared to a variety of websites.

This feature is meant to further increase the ability for Pinterest users to grow a following through its idea-based platform.
