I MAKE, a startup company operating out of Paris, recently was able to raise €1.5 million in funds which will be put toward its DIY marketplace, named 'makers.' The funds will directly streamline technical development aspects of the marketplace and content on the platform.
The I MAKE marketplace currently lists over 50,000 products created for DIY consumers. In addition to DIY products, the I MAKE platform has a community of 50 content producers who share DIY knowledge on the platform. The DIY platform was founded in 2019 by Elodie Abécassis, in order to provide consumers with one place that can handle all of a person's DIY needs.
Abécassis also released a statement on the ethos behind launching I MAKE, "That is why I decided to create I MAKE, and propose a website that gathers all the supplies in the same place but also shares tips and inspirations to make everything by yourself."
