Portable Hurricane Shelters

The Hush2 Shelter Can Withstand Violent Hurricanes

Hush2 is a unique hurricane shelter, developed by Extremis Technology, that can be erected in only two hours and can withstand hurricanes. The shelter is designed bearing in mind the challenges of constructing shelters while still in the midst of a natural disaster.

The Hush2 is designed to be extremely portable and easily transportable to and from disaster relief sites. It is constructed from marine plywood but can be enhanced and repaired using locally sourced materials. Its design also allows for its materials to be easily repurposed.

The Hush2's default shape is that of a rectangle. However, in the event of a hurricane or violent winds, it can be reconfigured into a more sturdy shape for extra protection. The two sides of each end can be folded inwards, while the shelter's sides are also folded inwards to form a triangular shape.
