Estate Graffiti

The Bizarre 'Plattenbauten' Stencils and Cardboard Art by EVOL

This rare style of graffiti belongs to EVOL, a street artist based in Berlin. He makes these really grey, mundane stencil posters of big building blocks and housing estates which he then plasters on city objects and walls, thus creating smaller estates within the city.

Some of the pictures are paintings on cardboard which EVOL also places in public places. The series is called "Plattenbauten". An exhibition showing some of his bizarre housing block street poster art is on at the Wilde-Gallery in Berlin until the end of the month.
