Music-Themed Architecture

The Hotel Liesma Has a Wavy Wood Facade

The Hotel Liesma is yet another example of a hotel taking on a theme in order to set itself apart from the competition. It isn't enough to simply be a stunning, upscale piece of architecture anymore, instead people want novelty as well as something to connect with. The Hotel Liesma does that for the musically inclined. The wooden waves of its exterior are inspired by musical rhythms and the interior design also celebrates music. Not to mention that the Hotel Liesma stages both indoors and out in order "to loosen up visitors and make them feel free," according to the designers.

Designed by architects Jevgenijs Busins and Liva Banka, the Hotel Liesma's sweeping silhouette is spectacular as well, the perfect draw for those who do not have an affinity towards music.
