Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream has teamed up with The Dairy Alliance to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a new Horchata ice cream flavor.
For those unfamiliar, Horchata is a popular Mexican drink usually made out of rice, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon. To honor this classic beverage recipe and mark Hispanic Heritage Month, Handel’s has teamed up with leading dairy farm non-profit, The Dairy Alliance. Together, the two brands created a new Horchata ice cream flavor out of sweet cream, cinnamon, and creamy milk. As Rich Matherne, CEO of Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream, explains, "By enjoying Horchata ice cream, guests can not only partake in a delicious treat or shake, but also connect with the cultural heritage that has shaped its creation."
The new Horchata ice cream will make its debut on September 24, 2023, which is also National Horchata Day.
