‘Batiks for Life’ is a medical apparel company that provides jobs and training for homeless women in Ghana. In many parts of Ghana, women are vulnerable to homelessness and extreme poverty. This company helps to empower these women by employing them as seamstresses and teaching them marketable career skills.
Batiks for Life produces high-quality medical scrubs that are made directly in Ghana. In order to give back to the community, the company hires homeless women from rural villages and provides them with employment as seamstresses. Not only are these women able to earn a living wage, but are also able learn valuable skills that they can take back to their families and communities.
