Forget what you know about the Holiday Inn; the chain is now ditching lame lobbies for futuristic foyers.
The Holiday Inn brand is about to undergo a major renovation after a determined team of designers decided to bid outdated areas adieu. The brand new blueprints boast large open spaces instead of a series of smaller confined rooms. Designers realized that although visitors enjoy their privacy in their bedrooms, they were yearning for an open-concept foyer which could function on many levels. For this reason, Holiday Inn’s upgraded foyer is now dubbed the "social hub" of the building, housing the front desk area, business lounge, bar and restaurant, and children’s area. The open-concept space is modern and bright, and encourages interaction between visitors.
