Each one of these intricate vases by London-based ceramic artist Hitomi Hosono can take up to six months to create. The porcelain vases are covered in luxurious foliage and intertwined leaves, making them look extremely opulent.
Incredibly the painstaking process is all created from memory. The artist says many of the plants and flowers that appear in her work are memories from the farm she grew up on as a child.
The process to make these vases includes an entire month to create molds for each piece, and then a further three weeks to attach the delicate leaves and an incredible five months to dry. The artist's spectacular work has just been recognized with a prestigious Perrier-Jouët Arts Salon Prize.
