Decorated Skulls at Northern Ink Xposure Are Eerily Beautiful

There was definitely a Damien Hirst inspiration at the 2009 Northern Ink Xposure Tattoo Convention in Toronto.

Titled "Skulls," these were only some of the art pieces in the exhibition of custom-created skulls made by prominent artists attending Northern Ink Xposure.

They will be auctioned off over the weekend.

Artist Damien Hirst unveiled his famous diamond encrusted skull in 2007. Perfectly timed with the increasing popularity of tattooing, decorated skulls are now commonly found printed on clothing and as artworks.
