Solitary Nomadic Editorials

The Vogue China Hidden Cabinet Photoshoot is Dark and Solitary

The Vogue China Hidden Cabinet editorial features model Juliana Schurig. Schurig appears markedly solitary in the set which features an all-black backdrop. Capturing the scene was photographer Lachlan Bailey who furthered the reclusive motif with dim lighting and few props.

Stylist Ludivine Poiblanc dressed Schurig in nomadic apparel. Billowing pants and oversize wraps were matched with thick sweaters and large gloves, the exact items that one would seek out when going about a lengthy trip.

Hair expert Rudi Lewis stuck to a similarly nomadic motif. Instead of doing up Schurig's hair in an exaggerated ponytail or bun, she let her tresses fall down effortlessly. Make-up expert Frank B. also stuck to the basics with simplistic blush and little eye shadow.
