Balloon Instrument Performances

The Hey Ocean Homemade Instrument Video is Full of Energy

Vancouver band Hey Ocean has teamed up with Sony Eperia, MTV and percussion quartet TorQ to reinvent one of the band's songs 'I am a Heart.' The most interesting part is that they used unconventional instruments to redo the song.

Items like a donkey skull jawbone, balloons, Ovaltine cans, garbage cans and various other objects were all used to perform this song. The adorable front girl for the band sang as the group danced around a balloon filled room.

The whole idea for the video was inspired by an on-going project by Jeff Hamada of Booooooom.com. Jeff has been collecting submissions for homemade instruments on his website and this performance video is exactly what he envisioned to end the project.
