Altered Urban Landcape Photos

The Hellopanos Mirrors iPhoneography Manipulates Your View

Taking photos of normal, everyday sites in an urban setting and manipulating them to look like abstract objects is how the Hellopanos Mirrors iPhoneography project changes our perspective on what is normal.

Photographer and visual artist Panos Papanagiotou, also known as Hellopanos, uses buildings, signs, satellite dishes, plants and more as subjects for this photography series. He then uses a mirroring technique, entirely changing the appearance of the photos using an iPhone app, to create these perfectly symmetrical images. The final product appears to be some sort of abstract, crystallized shape that is floating in an unknown space, completely isolated from any landscape it was originally a part of.

The Hellopanos Mirrors iPhoneography project makes us take a closer look at, and analyze, elements of our surroundings in a new way.
