Build-A-Bear works in collaboration with Sanrio to introduce the Hello Kitty and Friends Workshop, which is set to launch officially on November 15th, 2024. It will be the first collaboration between the two and it takes place in Los Angeles at the Westfield Century City shopping center. This also simultaneously celebrates Hello Kitty's 50th anniversary along with World Kindness Day.
This project honors the character's themes and her attributes related to inclusivity, kindness, and friendship. Fans is various ages can join in the creative experience to create their own plush. Guests create custom toys that include Hello Kitty and other friends including Cinnamoroll, Kerropi, Kuromi, and more. Guests transform the plushes with selected accessories and outfits along with sounds, scents, and special accents.
