Yet more than anything, the Heavenly City series seems to be showing metropolises around the world imploding on themselves.
Stunningly composed by Yang Yongliang through photography and digital manipulations, the Heavenly City series is cleverly made up of barcodes and clothing brand logos in addition to cars and skyscrapers. At its heart, it criticizes a world that doesn't cherish nature like it used to.
