Superfood-Focused Hair Care Expansions

Hair Food's Products Can Now Be Found in Canadian Stores

Hair Food, a hair care brand that's dedicated to nourishment to ensure that locks stay as healthy, shiny, and strong as possible, is now available at major Canadian retailers, including Walmart.

To get a deeper understanding of how superfood ingredients benefit the hair, as well as the draws of using products that are free of parabens, mineral oils and silicone, we spoke with Hair Food representative and celebrity stylist Rebekah Forecast, who's worked with stars like Jennifer Lawrence, Heidi Klum, Karlie Kloss, and Allison Williams.

As Forecast explains, "The whole premise of the line is that it's feeding your hair, and putting back the nutrients that the hair's lost through washing, heating appliances, and any other damage." In order to suit different consumer needs, the products come in a range of variations that work to benefit the individual as much as possible. For example, the Honey & Apricot line works to deeply moisturize dry hair, whereas the Kiwi & Exotic Fig line is perfect for adding volume. Those with color-treated hair can help ensure that their color lasts longer with the Apple & Berry line as well.

What's especially great about Hair Food's products is that consumers can easily mix shampoos and conditioners from the different lines to get the effects they want. This means that someone with color-treated hair that's lacking volume can use both the Apple & Berry and the Kiwi & Exotic Fig to make sure that all their bases are covered.

When speaking to the importance of using products that are "free of," Forecast explained that Hair Food only uses ingredients that nourish the hair, and does this by replacing parabens, mineral oils, and silicone (in its shampoos) with better quality ingredients. Continuing with its free of philosophy, Hair Food formulates its products with filtered water as well, preventing the extra minerals often found in hard water from causing excess damage.
