The late and great Gary Warnett is thought to be one of the leaders in street fashion amongst his professions of being both a writer and historian -- adidas celebrates his life with the new GWAR-TEX collection. Warnett had a wide perspective that pioneered the current sneaker and streetwear culture, stretching dialogue to even the music industry. The honorary collection is comprised of three items in total -- the Molly waterproof sneakers, which are named after his beloved dog, and two jackets.
The sneakers boast a clean off-white upper with pink trefoil branding details along with the writer's signature GWARIZM logo found at the care tag. The footbed is constructed from leather and sees the graphics "1978-2017" as a tribute to his celebrated life. The Squamish 93 jacket is finished in red and the Athens track jacket is finished in an all-black colorway -- both of which boast the same GWARIZM logo, replacing the "GORE-TEX" patchwork to one that reads "GWAR-TEX" instead.
