China has decided that Johnny Depp is apparently "obscene" material alongside Paris Hilton and Garfield. A new program called Green Dam of China is to be downloaded automatically on to all new PCs after July 1st to censor rude content.
The color and form recognition allows the program to censor "potential expanses of naked flesh."
I guess what is harmful content to the populace is up to interpretation, but censoring Johnny Depp because he is considered obscene content seems a little over-the-top to me.
