It's Halloween / Samhain so what a perfect pumpkin trend to post - oh yes its time for the World Championship Pumpkin Weigh-off. It was held in Half Moon Bay in California, a coastal town which was invaded by pumpkin lovers and saw scores of pick-up trucks lining the streets all laden with the fruits (or should I say vegetables) of their labour.
This years winner - a 691kg (1,524lb) beast of a pumpkin - can only be moved with a forklift and is the heaviest ever recorded. Thad Starr was the proud winner awarded $6 (£2.90) per pound, his pumkin earnt him $9,144 (£4,473).
The attached video - well this simply warns of the dangers of giant pumkins!
