When it comes to summer style, we are all quick to think of bright colors, light fabrics and more ethereal looks. Throwing a wrench in that thinking, Italian Vogue featured a spread in their upcoming issue that features all-black Gothic styles.
The Vogue spread showed fashions from Yves Saint Laurent, Yohji and Nina Ricci in the smoky spread by Craig McDean. The looks were heavy with full skirts, long blouses and chunky jewelry.
Perhaps this is not a look you want to pursue too heavily if you live in warmer climates, as black makeup running down your face is never cute. However, if Italian Vogue has something to say about it, black is… the new black.
