At its annual Made By Google event, Google introduced the Google Home Hub as a digital display that offers help when needed and boasts a discreet design that seamlessly fits into any interior environment. Google Home Hub is offered in a simple color range that includes Aqua, Chalk, Charcoal and Sand, as well as a screen that intelligently adjusts to the color and lighting of its immediate surroundings. As such, although the device does involve a digital screen, it knows to dim itself at night to prevent a distracting glow.
The smart hub can be connected with tons of compatible devices, so that voice commands can be given to control everything from TVs and lighting systems to cameras.
The cameraless Google Home Hub is set to compete with Amazon's Echo Show and Facebook's Portal, an Internet-connected camera for the home.
