'Goodnight House' Takes Inspiration from 'Goodnight Moon'

New York-based art studio Fort Meyers has announced a new exhibition that will run from March 3rd until April 29th called 'Goodnight House,' which will spotlight artwork and objects that take their inspiration from 'Goodnight Moon,' a classic children's book by Margaret Wise Brown that was published back in 1947.

The art exhibition will give visitors the chance to explore the home of the story's protagonist, with different art pieces replicating the objects found within it. Through this theme, Fort Meyers aims to transport viewers back to their childhoods, and explore "how the book has been woven into a collective, American cultural understanding of comfort, sleep, compassion, and imagination."

A few of the artists who's work will be featured at the exhibition include the handwoven textiles by Liz Collins, paintings by Marcel Alcalá, and ceramic pieces by Shino Takeda—among many others.
