David Bowie Plans to Release the Golden Years iPhone App

David Bowie has never ceased to transform the music industry, and now he's taking over smartphones with an application. The British rock star is planning to release a Golden Years iPhone app for fans to download. The single has been mixed down to eight stem files. The whole idea behind this is to let aspiring producers do their own interpretation of the song. There's actually a program similar to it for Bowie's song 'Space Oddity.' In commemoration of the apps release, four DJs from KCRW radio in Los Angeles have been asked to remix the tunes on a new EP, which can be heard on the station's blog.

The Golden Years iPhone app is due to be released on June 6th.
