Nissan is Gifting Gold Leaf EVs to Olympic Gold Medalists

Nissan will be gifting Olympic Gold Medalists with Gold Leaf EVs. The gilded electric cars have "Rio 2016 Gold Medalist" engraved on the car along with the Olympic logo.

Nissan's British office will be presenting the Gold Leaf EVs if any of the 16 sponsored British athletes win Olympic Gold. Nissan Great Britain is sponsoring ten Olympic and six Paralympic athletes at the upcoming Rio games. Nissan said, "Giving our gold medal-winning Nissan athletes a gold Nissan Leaf is our way of celebrating their incredible success." The Nissan British Office will be rooting for all British athletes, but will be keeping an eye on their sponsored athletes.

The British office isn't the only Nissan group sponsoring part of the Olympics. Nissan Brazil is an official sponsor and will be supplying 4,200 vehicles for transporting athletes, delegation members and guests during the games.
