A lot of amazing young artists are emerging out of China; one of my favorites is Chen Ke. She makes these stunning images of cute little girls.
Chen Ke's paintings bear references to cartoon art with experimental elements of Western master artists as well as traditional Chinese paintings, creating an exciting mix.
The 30-year-old Chinese artist and her artworks have already been shown in art exhibitions worldwide like the Museum Moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig Wien (AUT) and the National Art Museum of China in Beijing (CN).
Her new exhibition "Another Me in the World" will be hosted by Kunstverein Viernheim in Germany. The show is on from the June 19th-July 18th. I believe this will be worth a visit if you are in the region this summer.
