The ‘Laureato Absolute’ watch has just launched in two new ‘Light & Shade’ and ‘Light & Fire’ hues from Girard-Perregaux. The ‘Laureto Absolute’ series captures Girard-Perregaux's horological expertise and experience and is a contemporary tribute to the original Laureato model from 1975. It boasts a GP01800 caliber, meaning it has an open-worked design and skeletonized movement.
The ‘Light & Fire’ watch is encased in a YAG case, a new polycrystalline type with properties comparable to sapphire crystal and more color variability. The ‘Light & Shade’ boasts a 44mm casing made of metalized sapphire crystal that took 170 hours to complete.
The ‘Light & Fire’ and ‘Light & Shade’ watches from Girard-Perregaux can be viewed online at the brand’s website. The watches are priced at $99,600 USD, but the 'Light & Fire' iteration is limited in quantity.
