Giant Vehicular Robot Art

Project Transformers

For his Project Transformers, Swiss and French artist Guillaume Reymond literally orchestrates a veritable fleet of cars, buses, ambulances, and fire trucks to form various Transformers. The artwork was best viewed from above--these pictures were taken from a Zeppelin. The videos show the construction of these large pop art sculptures.

There were three parts to the project. The first Transformer artwork was created in Vevey, Switzerland using service trucks. The second one is situated in Lausanne and is a compilation of buses entitled "Retrobus." Both were assembled earlier this month. The third will feature bicycles.

Guillaume Reymond is best known for his highly successful video project "Gameover," which won the 2007 YouTube Video Award.
