Photographer Elizabeth Moran enlisted the help of her paranormal investigator aunt and uncle for 'Record of Cherry Road,' a ghost hunting series that explores the rumors surrounding her former residence in Memphis, Tennessee.
The farmhouse has been plagued with spooky stories and chilling, unexplained experiences, which have been told and retold, passed down through generations. Moran photographs the house and surrounding land for the project, but she also includes shots of investigative equipment and old photographs taken by her family, hoping to get a well-rounded collection.
Unlike her relatives, Moran has not experienced anything remotely spine-chilling while living in, or visiting, the farmhouse. She explains, "Do we simply see what we believe or do we believe what we see? By creating images within the nexus of fact and faith, I confront my lack of a sixth sense in contrast to my family’s sensitivity to unseen presences."
